We will provide:
Dinner on Sunday evening at 5:30 PM for the students in the designated dining hall.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the assigned Dining hall
Breakfast and Lunch on Thursday in the dining hall
Linen packet (flat sheet, fitted sheet, pillow, pillow case)
Towels and wash clothes
A roommate (each student will share a room with someone, boys on one floor, girls on another). Visiting the room of a student of the opposite gender is NOT permitted at any time.
24 hour staff supervision. Students are NOT permitted to leave campus unless there is an E2 program planned and supervised activity.
Access to computer labs during free time
A notebook and writing implement
A program t-shirt
A lanyard with an E2 ID badge
We recommend you bring the following:
Table-top and/or floor oscillating fan
Shower Shoes (flip-flops suffice)
Wastebasket, hangers, and alarm clock
Personal toiletries
Small tote for toiletries, shower shoes/flip flops, hair dryer
A blanket (it can get cool in the evening)
OPTIONAL: Spending money if you plan on purchasing vending machine items or if the Counselors plan a visit to the UConn Bookstore or Dairy Bar.
Long pants and close-toed shoes (for safety, some labs will not permit any open toed shoes)
Sunscreen (counselors will have sunscreen available too)
If you are bringing prescription medications, they must be in their original packaging with the prescribing physician’s name.
All meals are included.
No refrigerators are provided in the rooms, but you may bring non-perishable snacks
DO NOT bring:
Computers (you will have access to the computer labs during free times)
Valuables – please leave expensive jewelry, expensive phones, expensive mobile devices, large sums of cash, etc. at home. We are not responsible for lost or stolen property.
Weapons, tobacco products, or anything else that is prohibited by University rules of the state or federal law.
IMPORTANT:
If your room key is lost or stolen you will be expected to pay $110 to replace and re-key the lock. This payment must be made before your student checks out, no exceptions.
If the student violates the rules set forth in the conduct agreement, parents/guardians may be asked to pick up their student to take home. NO REFUNDS will be issued.
